The terms and conditions are in effect when you make a purchase or booking with LATIMAX Tours & Travels. These terms and conditions governs your purchased package. A copy of these terms should be available under your booking or attached to your booking receipt and emailed to you.
We ask that you read the Terms & Conditions below carefully. LATIMAX Tours & Travels strive to provide you with superior services. Our Terms & Conditions will help avoid confusion and misunderstandings. By booking, registering for, making a payment towards, or participating in a tour, travel, and/or any other services with LATIMAX Tours & Travels,. Ltd. (“LATIMAX Tours & Travels,” “WE,” or “US”), you agree to the Terms that apply to that package in effect at the time of your booking. These Terms represent a legally binding contract.
We do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information on our website, but errors may occur. Please confirm pricing and details with us prior to making your booking.
Part A: By making travel bookings on our website or with one of our agents, or otherwise, purchasing any travel services offered by LATIMAX Tours & Travels, you warrant that 1) you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation; 2) you accept and agree to all the Terms & Conditions presented herein; and 3) all information supplied by you for the purposes of that booking is true, accurate, current, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS: If you make a booking for anyone other than yourself, you are considered the designated contact person for those other travelers. You represent and warrant that you are legally authorized to act on their behalf; that you as their representative subscribe to and accept LATIMAX Tours & Travels Terms and Conditions, stipulated in part A, and they are inadvertently and directly agree to the terms above.
CONFIRMATION: We will confirm availability within three (3) to four (4) working days after we receive your booking confirmation and a deposit. We will modify your booking or cancel it for full refund, If the destination you selected isn’t available. If you requested for Changes or Customizations to your booking, we will inform you of additional fees that may arise from taxes, or vendors’ applicable fees.
Prices: Prices and availability are subject to change until you make a booking and that booking is confirmed. After that, your package price will not change, with some exceptions listed under Confirmation. All advertised prices and costs are in U.S. currency, unless noted otherwise. Special tickets such as Gorilla tracking or Chimpanzee may have additional conditions or limitations stated in those tickets. Please, ask for clarifications if you do not understand certain terms.
Payments
DEPOSITS: Deposits vary by package and destination, and any amount deposited as per the agreed deposit policy will be applied towards your overall travel package. A receipt will be issued detailing what the deposit covers. Please read through carefully and reach out to us or any of our agents, should you have any questions. Deposits are generally nonrefundable after we confirm your bookings.
FINAL PAYMENT: Any pending balance must be paid by the due date via one of our accepted payment methods. This date varies by package, but at most 15 days prior to your scheduled trip, unless stipulated on your booking confirmation receipt or email. If you have not paid in full by your due date, your booking will be subject to a $100 late fee. Your booking will be canceled after 15 days after your due date where no additional payments received. No refund will be issued at this point. We will promptly process and make refunds for any money paid in excess.
PAYMENT METHODS: We accept payments towards your deposit or balance due by the following methods:
REFUNDS: Refunds will be processed and paid as promptly as possible. We request that you give us six weeks from the date of requested refund for us to process your refunds. We will issue refunds for payments made by credit to that card, as a credited balance. Payment made via wire transfer will be rewired to the same bank details and account used for making the transfer. Send wave and Mobile money payment will require additional information and confirmation before such funds is resent to you by one of our agents or accounts departments.

EXTENDED STAYS: You may want to extend your stay before or after the arriving scheduled dates. Speak to our representative to ensure a seamless modification of your itinerary. Any changes or modification to your trip may attract additional fees payable before such adjustments are made.
You must notify us in writing if you decided to cancel your booking. Cancellation fees are applicable and may varies according to your package. Please, carefully review your receipt for applicable details emailed to you during booking.
When you cancel, we will refund all your monies except:

Accommodations:
We strongly recommend that you purchase a travel insurance and carry the details along with you. This can be purchased on the open market. We do not act on behalf or represent any travel insurance company. Ensure that your insurance covers international territories. Please, check the jurisdiction before making any final payments.
Passport: Travelers are responsible to carry an unexpired passport. The name order on your passport must be the same as the one you use for your bookings, including (but not limited to) travel insurance, hotel booking, and tour tickets.
VISA: We will be happy to provide you with adequate information regarding visa processing. We are not responsible for paying for your visa, and we cannot be held liable if your visa is delayed or denied.
Entry and Exit Requirements: There is no exit and entry restrictions, but travelers must ensure that they carry a valid visa during entry and exit. Uganda’s government charges $30 USD per day for every day you overstayed your visa. Contact your local embassy if you run into problems.
We make every effort to ensure that you have a seamless travel experience as per planned itinerary, however, certain conditions may require us to make adjustments as quick as possible as per the prevailing condition of our destination. We will ensure prompt refund as per our policies, IF we are unable to meet our obligation to reschedule your trip.
FORCE MAJEURE: Certain unexpected and unpredictable circumstances may arise, such as (but not limited to) pandemics, endemics, weather events, quarantines, border closures, acts of governments or authorities, wars, hostilities, political uprisings or civil disturbances, riots, strikes, terrorist activities or the threat of terrorist activities, criminal acts committed by third parties, denied entry into a country, defects of vehicles or breakdown in equipment, or an Act of God, that are beyond anyone’s control, which force a cancellation or disruption of services. These circumstances are considered a force majeure. We will not be held responsible or liable in any way for such events, including death, bodily injury, illness, damage, delay, or other losses caused by such events. While we will always strive to assist our travelers wherever such circumstances occur, any losses or costs resulting from these events will be the responsibility of the traveler. We are not responsible for your lack of enjoyment during your trip when any of such events occur, and we cannot be held liable for any trauma or mental health caused by such events.
JOINING A TOUR: You are responsible for making it to the tour’s starting point. Contact us immediately if for some reasons you are unable to make it at our designated starting point. We may make a customized arrangement for additional fees.
TOUR MANAGERS: On all our trip, you will be accompanied by a professional travel consultant who is responsible for your safety and wellbeing for the smooth operation of our tour experience. The decision of the travel consultant or tour manager are final on all maters likely to affect the safety and wellbeing of participants on our trip.
GROUP PARTICIPATION: Group travelling may involve trips with strangers, and it can sometime be challenging. To provide our travelers with a positive touring experience, we reserve the right to reject or remove any traveler whose behavior is determined to be incompatible with the group. If you fail to comply with a decision made by our tour consultant or manager, or behave in a way that is judged to cause or likely to cause danger, distress, or material annoyance to others, interfere with the wellbeing or mobility of the group, are deemed to be fractious to the group, at the sole discretion of LATIMAX Tours & Travels, we may ask you to leave the tour. In this case, we will not refund any portion of the package cost, and all expenses incurred by the termination of the touring program are your responsibility.
AGE REQUIREMENTS: Travelers under 18 years at the time of travel are considered minors. Minors must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. We will not permit unaccompanied minors on our trip.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK: By booking with LATIMAX Tours and Travels, you acknowledge that you have considered the potential risks, dangers and challenges, and you assume responsibility for all such risks. You agree to take all prudent measures in relation to your own safety while traveling, including but not limited to the proper use of safety devices, including seat belts and harness and helmets and/or obeying all posted signs and oral or written warnings regarding health and safety. LATIMAX Tours and Travels or our representatives will not be held liable for any claims or causes of action arising from any losses, damages, injuries, or death resulting from failure to comply with safety instructions or warnings or the risks inherent in travel and participating in adventurous activities included in our itineraries or otherwise offered by us or our representatives.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT: Should any medical emergency arise which precludes your ability to consent to emergency treatment when such authorization is required, we or our representatives will endeavor to communicate with your travel companions or previously designated emergency contact to request permission for any necessary treatment. If our representatives believe, at their sole discretion, that time or circumstances do not permit such communication, you authorize our representatives to consent on your behalf to any medical treatment, including all types of medical examinations, diagnoses, medication, treatment, or physician or hospital care, that is deemed advisable by, and is to be rendered under, the supervision of any physician or surgeon. You agree not to hold us or our representatives responsible for actions relating to any such medical or emergency treatment.
LOCAL PURCHASES: We make every effort to give you an opportunity to browse local markets, shops and stores, time permitting. Some itineraries include scheduled stops at specialty stores where you can view a demonstration of a local craft or purchase merchandise. We are not responsible for the delivery or receipt of any item you purchase while traveling.
LOCAL LAWS: During your travel, you must always comply with the laws and regulations of all places visited. Committing any illegal act may result in your removal from a tour and put you at risk of fines or punishment by local authorities, for which we cannot be held responsible.
IMAGES & MARKETING: While participating in any of our packages, images, photos, or videos may be taken by us that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grant a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to us, our contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
These Terms represents the entire agreement between travelers and LATIMAX Tours & Travels. There is no additional liability.
These Terms and purchases with us are subject to the Law of Uganda. Any dispute arising from these packages shall only be litigated in the court of Uganda, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction. The court filing and litigation can only take place in Gulu court circuits.
We retain the right to change the Terms and conditions at any time at our own discretion. Furthermore, we retain the right to deny anyone access to our website or to our services.
